Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 to 2- pound tri-tip
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Olive oil spray
  • Optional: Smoked paprika rosemary, chili powder

Method
 

  1. Bring tri-tip to room temperature for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add optional seasonings like smoked paprika, rosemary, or chili powder as desired.
  3. Lightly coat tri-tip with olive oil spray.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
  5. Place seasoned tri-tip in air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check internal temperature: 130-135°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, and 155°F for medium-well.
  7. Remove tri-tip and let rest for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Slice against the grain and serve.

Notes

To ensure the meat is tender and juicy, let it rest before slicing. Optional marinades like soy sauce, Worcestershire, or balsamic vinegar can be used for extra flavor.
