Description

A hearty, comforting one-pot slow cooker meal loaded with smoky sausage, tender potatoes, green beans, and flavorful butter and spice blend — perfect for easy family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs yellow potatoes, scrubbed and quartered
  • ½ cup yellow onion, diced
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
  • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
  • 1 packet (0.6 oz) Italian dressing seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)

Instructions

  1. Place the quartered potatoes into the bottom of your slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Add in the diced onions and toss to coat.
  2. Top the potatoes with sliced smoked sausage, then layer the drained green beans on top.
  3. Sprinkle the Italian dressing seasoning evenly across the surface.
  4. Place the full stick of butter on top of everything — do not stir.
  5. Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are fork-tender.
  6. Gently stir everything together before serving. Serve warm, optionally with crusty bread.

Notes

Feel free to swap smoked paprika for regular if needed. For extra flavor, sear the sausage before adding.
